In 2023, we became just the fifth owners of The Nurseryman’s Cottage, falling in love with the seasoned totara weatherboards.
Our renovation approach has been to sympathetically repair and conserve. We installed our kitchen cabinetry on the eve of the 2024 Inside Out tour and were a ‘work in progress’ on the backyard landscaping. Since then, we’ve overhauled the front garden with some structure to offset the cottage whimsy.
2026 marks the 150th birthday of the cottage and our plans are to continue our slow interior renovation and fill the gardens.
In November, you can expect to see all the cottage favourites and a good show from the hollyhocks. We will also have seeds and collected vintage treasures for sale.
